I have been in the mental health field since 1995 working with children, adolescents, and families.  I graduated from the New York Institute of Technology in Boca Raton, Florida with an MPS in Human Relations and I have a certification in personal coaching.  I received my certification in Art Therapy from the Art Therapy institute of Dallas, Texas.

My experience in Sandplay Therapy began in 1995 while completing my play therapy hours for registration as a play therapist.  Sandplay Therapy is one of the many processes used in Art Therapy.  This experienced led to my specialty working with children and families as a crisis intervention therapist and in private practice.  I also worked for the State of Florida creating Mental Health Behavioral Assessments to determine permanent placement of children when removed from their homes.

My experience also includes providing group art therapy to adults in recovery inpatient facilities in Florida for two years.  My work with the women in the recovery program was very rewarding and expanded my knowledge of working with adults especially in the substance abuse field.

My expertise includes art and sandplay therapies, grief and loss issues, attachment issues, behavior management including ADHD, PTSD, and adolescent behavioral problems.  I work with parents and children to improve parent/child communication and also individual coaching with adults in transition.

Since receiving my Texas license, I am working as an art therapist with women with eating disorders at a clinic in Dallas and primarily with children, adolescents, and families at CCA.
